Suffolk Customer Service Center on Centerbrooke Lane is Now Open
RICHMOND- Delegate Chris Jones was among numerous dignitaries who participated in a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday at the new Suffolk DMV Customer Service Center.
The new customer service center, 1040 Centerbrooke Lane, opened on October 13. The previous office on Holladay Street closed October 8, although DMV’s full-service mobile office, DMV 2 Go, was set up in the parking lot to assist customers during the transition.
Delegate Jones said the new, modern office will be a great asset to area citizens.
“This office served nearly 50,000 customers last year,” Delegate Jones said. “Thank you all for the service you provide to residents of Suffolk and the Commonwealth.”
The construction of the new customer service center began in March. Conveniently located near Route 58, the office was designed to more efficiently serve customers and features increased lobby seating and service windows, as well as a larger parking lot with a dedicated motorcycle road test area.

DMV Commissioner Richard Holcomb gives Delegate Jones and other legislators and local officials a tour of the new facility.
